BIG beat forZe to complete lower bracket run, advance to grand final at FunSpark ULTI

Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz's team will rematch Extra Salt in the grand final on Monday.
BIG have defeated FORZE 2-0 (Dust2 16-12, Nuke 16-12) in the consolidation final of FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe to advance to the grand final of the $250,000 tournament and secure a spot at the FunSpark ULTI 2021 LAN event, set to take place in China in December.
With victories over the Russian side as well as Evil Geniuses, Complexity, and HAVU, the German squad has completed a comeback run through the entire lower bracket following an early upper bracket loss to Extra Salt. The team around Josh "oSee" Ohm now awaits BIG in the best-of-five title decider, which is scheduled to kick off on Monday, April 26 at 15:00 .

Dust2 was the first map of the consolidation final and it was the team who picked it, BIG, who were able to drive it home. With a dominant offense disrupted only by a couple of pistol wins from FORZE, the German side earned themselves enough of a lead to withstand a big run in the second half from their adversaries, kicked off with another forcebuy win. It came down to a quad-kill from Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch to stop the rot in the end, and BIG copped the series lead a couple of rounds later at 16-12.
Another close affair on Nuke followed, where BIG and FORZE engaged in an early back-and-forth forcebuy battle, with neither able to gain control over the economy until late in the half as they continued to trade blows until the last five rounds. Andrey "Jerry" Mekhryakov's squad ended up grabbing a small lead and were the first to reach double digits after switching over to the CT side, but they couldn't hold off BIG's attacks when tabseN & co. were able to buy up rifles, with the favorites going on a near-perfect run to end the series at 16-12, 2-0.
